Weight Loss vs Fat Loss

Weight Loss vs Fat Loss. For many people there is no difference between weight loss and fat loss. Most people think when they start exercising they are going to lose fat automatically. But it’s not like that and it’s totally wrong. Weight loss and fat loss are two very different things.

Weight Loss vs Fat Loss

Most of the people who talk about weight loss, start losing their weight from an unknown point. They may know how much they weigh, but they don’t know their lean body mass and they don’t know their body fat percentage. This is very important to know Lean Body Mass and Body Fat Percentage.

As they don’t know about body lean mass and fat, they may just go by the scale number and say “I just need to lose weight. I’m 200 pounds, so I want to lose 50 pounds.”

So they will start doing a lot of cardio plus diet and severely cut back their calories.

To lose weight, they will cut out their food and will eat anywhere from 1000 to 2000 calories. Because they don’t know the difference between fat loss and weight loss and they just want to lose weight, they go for cutting the calories no matter whether they are losing fat or muscle.

How To Lose Fat

If you want to look smarter and in better shape, and want to cut excess fat of your body and to look toned, you have to incorporate some heavy resistance training with your weight loss journey.

You can not just do cardio, because cardio will burn your fat, but at the same time it will build up your muscle. You will lose fat but at the same time you will increase your muscle size.

Toned is revealing the muscle under your skin. So the less fat and the less water you have between your skin and your muscle, the more the muscle is gonna pop up and show. And some fast ways to create heavy resistance are calisthenics, heavyweight training or using resistance bands.

And the most important thing during all this process is your diet. Like I said earlier, a lot of times people will reduce food amount to reduce calories intake. If you will just cut down food then you’re eating away your muscle through that because you’re not feeding your muscle, you’re not giving the muscle anything to build itself on.

To lose fat you have to add resistance training, cut back on cardio and eat a balanced macro diet including your fat, your carbs and your protein.

So during fat loss it is important that you have to take high protein (protein shakes etc) for your muscles. This is the way many celebrities like kim kardashian follow to lose their fat and not lose their weight. You can see how curvy and toned body she has.

So before you start losing weight, you must know the difference between Weight Loss vs Fat Loss. So you can choose smartly what you should do actually.

I hope this article helped you to learn the difference between weight loss and fat loss. And I also hope that losing fat is going to give you a nice toned body that you want.
